Join the fun with MIT Sea Grant this weekend At Family Science Days!

The ocean is the last and largest unexplored place on Earth ¤ less than 5% of it has been explored. Teams of scientists and engineers at MIT Sea Grant are designing vehicles to investigate our aquatic frontier and we invite you to come join the effort! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to pilot your own unmanned underwater vehicle? Come dive into the world of underwater robotics and try your hand at driving our remotely operated vehicle (ROV) Sea Perch. Learn how you can design and build your own ROV at home or in your classroom.MIT Sea Grant Engineering Educators, Kathryn Shroyer and Mike Soroka will set up “Sea Perch shop” during the 2-day free Family Science Days event at the Hynes Convention Center on Saturday and Sunday (Feb 16-17, 2013).
