J-WAFS Seed Funding Supporting Shellfisheries
The Abdul Latif Jameel Water and Food Systems Lab (J-WAFS) announced eight funded projects totaling over $1M in support of advancements in water and food systems, including MIT Sea Grant’s “Cloud-based data applications for streamlining natural resource management.”
The Challenge:
Can we streamline efforts of natural resource managers and increase transparency of information and decision-making among managers and their stakeholders, in order to support productivity of shellfisheries, safe human consumption, and vitality of coastal economies?
