Enabling High- and Low-molecular Weight AUV-based Chemical Analysis: Complementing Mass Spectrometry with Multichannel Time-resolved Fluorometry aboard the NEREUS/Odyssey

The researchers will design, build, and demonstrate a highly capable AUV-based, optical system to characterize several important categories of high-molecular-weight compounds, complementing the capabilities of existing AUV-based sensors. This step toward comprehensive chemical sensing with AUVs will serve scientists, coastal managers, and others concerned with water quality.
