In this project, researchers are developing the little skate (Raja erinacea) as an in situ bioindicator species for environmental spermatotoxicants in the marine environment. The findings are expected to help fisheries managers and regulators better understand the link between pollutants and spermatoxicity and thus formulate sound regulatory and policy decisions.
