An Assessment of the Tidal Kinetic Energy Resource off the Massachusetts Coast and Potential Impacts of Extraction

Using modeling and observation, the researchers will assess the tidal kinetic energy resources off the Massachusetts coast and the potential to extract those resources. They will create a user-friendly model system that will be available to the research, industry and regulatory communities and will help to evaluate the impact of large-scale marine renewable energy installations on coastal hydrodynamics.
