Discovering the Fascinating Marine World of the Aegean

The Consulate General of Greece in Boston, in collaboration with the Institute of Eastern Mediterranean Studies at Emmanuel College, has organized an online event geared towards children and their families to bring the Aegean Sea to New England.

With the help of hydrobiologist Anastasia Miliou, Director of Research at the Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation, we will talk about dolphins and turtles, the environment, sustainability, the protection of marine animals, the Archipelago Institute’s research initiatives, as well as innovation and education in relation to eco-friendly development.

Dr. Melina Kourantidou, a marine resource economist at the Marine Policy Center of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), will also participate in the event and will talk about her research work and some of the work conducted at WHOI.
