Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries Announces Recent Changes in Shellfish Closure Areas
As of sunrise on Wednesday July 15, 2015, Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries is closing Salt Pond in the town of Eastham, MA to all shellfishing due to a phytoplankton bloom of Dinophsis sp. which is known to produce okadiaic acid the cause of Diarrhetic Shellfhish Poison (DSP).
