Student Funding

MIT Sea Grant administers a number of programs and awards that directly support those pursuing studies in marine research:

• Dean John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship – Applications due February 15, 2013
• Dean A. Horn Award for Undergraduate Study in Marine Research – Applications due May 10, 2013
• NOAA's Coastal Management Fellowship – Applications due January 25, 2013
• NOAA Fisheries / Sea Grant Fellowship – Applications due January 25, 2013
• MIT Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) – Application Deadlines for 2012

In addition to these opportunities, our Education program offers student scholarships for The Ocean Engineering Experience summer program, and allows participants in the annual Blue Lobster Bowl to apply for a Coastal and Ocean Science Training (COAST) internship.
