Dredged material--both 'clean' and 'contaminated'-- management involves the assessment of economic impacts, environmental impacts, and health hazards. This compilation of over 80 abstracts follows a recent conference on progress in assessing and managing contaminated sediments, and the options for beneficial use of cleaner sediments. Several of these are case studies that focus on regulatory, societal, technical, or scientific issues relating to the management of dredged material at particular sites.
