Dedicated to the development of fully autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), the MIT Sea Grant Underwater Vehicles Laboratory is the nation's leading developer of small, inexpensive, high- performance, unmanned underwater vehicles. This brochure highlights the laboratory's current research activities, which include acoustic navigation and communication and the autonomous ocean sampling network.
