Given tomographic data from two vertical line arrays in a high current, rapidly varying, coastal environment, the sound speed and current field in the plane between them, as well as the position and shape of the arrays, can be efficiently and effectively estimated. In this paper, processing of the received signal and reduction to arrival time data is outlines, as well as the inversion procedure to determine the sound speed and current.
