Calling Mass. High Schools: Blue Lobster Bowl Team Applications due October 28
During the full-day competition, teams of high school students are quizzed on their knowledge of ocean science subjects including chemistry, biology, engineering, history, ecology, climate change, and weather.
Now in its 15th year, the Blue Lobster Bowl includes over 120 students from as many as 24 Massachusetts high schools. The NOSB was created in 1998 in honor of the International Year of the Ocean and, since its inception, the competition has grown to include 300 schools and over 2,000 students annually.
Register Your School Team By October 28th, 2011
Download and complete the preliminary Team Intent Form.
Teams will be notified of their status by November 4th, 2011.
Note: Up to 24 student teams can compete in the Blue Lobster Bowl each year. In the event that we have more teams than we can accommodate, we will accept the "A Team" from every school that has applied, and additional teams if space is available. If we cannot accommodate all of the teams in a class (A, B, or C) we will determine, by lottery, the additional school teams from that class which will be accepted.
