MIT Sea Grant: Numerics in Computational Engineering

Karniadakis is Professor of Applied Mathematics at Brown University and has been affiliated with MIT and the MIT Sea Grant College Program since 2000. His work focuses on computational science and engineering and includes both algorithm development as well as simulations of physical and biological multiscale phenomena. He is the author of three books and more than 300 research papers. He has pioneered high-order methods for solving PDEs in complex-geometry domains, stochastic modeling and uncertainty quantification methods, and multiscale methods for microfluidics and biomechanics.
