Rachel VanCott works with the Marine Advisory Services group at MIT Sea Grant, where her primary focus is in marine science education and communication. Her background is in science writing and biology. She's particularly interested in using new media to promote ocean literacy, and encouraging stewardship and systems thinking in students through project-based learning.
