The National Sea Grant College Program, the International Council for the Exploration of the Seas (ICES) and the North Pacific Marine Science Organization (PICES) are jointly sponsoring the Fifth International Marine Bioinvasions Conference to be held at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, May 21-24, 2007. The purpose is to examine marine bioinvasion vectors, patterns, distribution, ecological and evolutionary consequences, economic impacts, biosecurity approaches, and natural and invasion impacts on biodiversity.
