Longer Term Lessons from the US National Climate Assessment

Anthony Janetos, Boston University
Monday, June 16 @ 9:30am

The third US National Climate Assessment, released just a month ago, explores a wide range of both current and potential climate impacts, and categorizes both mitigation and adaptation responses. Implicit in its structure is the idea of sustaining sensitive regions and sectors against a variety of stressors through the wise use of technical information, and by listening to the expressed needs of stakeholder communities. This talk will explore findings and implications of the NCA with particular emphasis on the needs of coastal cities.
