Ocean Acoustic Hurricane Classification

This paper presents theoretical and empirical evidence demonstrating that underwater acoustic sensing techniques may be valuable for measuring the wind speed and destructive power of hurricanes. The publication also compares the potential advantages and disadvantages of the proposed acoustic method with those techniques currently used.
